worldwide. Join Takeda as an Immunology Director, where you will
play a major role in leading the discovery of novel biologics and
contributing to the strategic direction of our inflammatory and
autoimmune diseases research programs. How you will contribute:
Strategic Leadership- guide the scientific strategy of our
biologics discovery efforts in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases
from project inception (define the modality and molecular design)
through lead generation and optimization to candidate selection,
delivering new biotherapeutics to Takeda’s pipeline. Functional
Leadership- Oversee the functional evaluation and candidate
selection of novel biotherapeutics in the inflammatory and
autoimmune diseases space. Lead a team of Sr. scientists,
scientists and associate scientists responsible for the design,
development and execution of state-of-the-art in vitro pharmacology
assays to evaluate the biological activity, potency, efficacy, and
mechanism of action of our novel therapeutics, utilizing
cutting-edge technologies (e.g., complex cell-based assays,
co-culture systems, and ex vivo models) to measure cellular
responses in inflammatory pathways. Develop and implement
innovative technologies to elevate our capabilities and to enhance
translation. Stay abreast of the latest scientific advancements and
industry trends. Program Leadership: Lead our biologics discovery
programs with cross-functional discovery teams, driving the
programs from lead ID to preclinical development. Collaboration:
Build strong internal and external collaborations, foster alignment
with our key stakeholders. Collaborate closely with
interdisciplinary research teams in a matrix format, to advance
discovery programs. Mentoring: Mentor and develop team members,
fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and scientific
excellence. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: PhD degree in
immunology or a related scientific discipline with 10 years’
experience. Minimum of 10 years of research experience in
inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, with at least 7 years
industry experience in pharma, biotech, with a track record of
leading biologics discovery projects, specifically in inflammatory
and autoimmune diseases. Minimum of 7 years of management
experience. Expertise in biologics drug discovery and development
processes, including lead generation and optimization, candidate
selection, and preclinical development. Deep expertise in
Immunology, particularly in T and B cell biology and immune
mechanisms underlying autoimmune diseases. Expertise in in vitro/ex
vivo experimental systems supporting Immunology research, including
complex cell-based phenotypic assays, immune cell-based assays,
co-culture systems, inflammation-based assays and GI organoid
systems. A strong scientific thinker, with a strategic view.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with
the ability to lead a team and projects and collaborate effectively
across disciplines, demonstrate enterprise leadership with an

Base Salary Range: $174,500.00 - $274,230.00 The estimated salary
range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual
base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including
the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position,
years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of
education attained, certifications or other professional licenses
held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from
which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary
offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage
requirements for the job location. U.S. based employees may be
eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based
employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision
