Job Description:

Burlington Lumber Company is seeking energetic and hardworking individuals to join the team as a Forklift Operator at our lumberyard. The position duties include driving a forklift, pulling orders and loading lumber and building materials, unloading shipments and other essential duties needed. Heavy lifting is required, and Forklift experience is preferred. Job Duties: Ability to load and unload a truck in a safe and proficient manner Ability to pull orders according to procedures Ability to operate forklifts, trucks, and power tools in a safe manner Assists supervisor and other employees as neededRestock materials and take and maintain knowledge of inventory itemsClean and organize warehouse and lumberyardBe able to follow through and complete routine and special tasks in a timely and professional manner with a minimum amount of supervision Ability to be at work on time and for the fully scheduled shiftBe able to wait on customers and be able to communicate and interact with a respectful, positive, and pleasant mannerOther general tasks as necessary to the normal functioning of the lumberyard Able to read and write Minimum Requirements:Forklift experience required, certification preferredHigh school diploma or General Education DegreeStrong communication skillsMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds Ability to reach overhead to grasp materials Ability to be on feet for 8 hour shiftCompany Benefits:Excellent medical and dental insurance planPaid holidays and time off401K Retirement PlanPI99817582b4a7-25660-34425568
