Draper maintains a Microfabrication Facility, utilized by about 30 scientists, engineers, and technicians. The Microfab work is mainly in the fields MEMS, photonics, and microelectronics packaging, and includes academic research up to fieldable military hardware. - -

  • Coordinate the daily workflow of multiple projects through the Draper Microfab.
  • Implement and maintain a Quality System, per contract requirements
  • Participate in all Runsheet reviews, Mask reviews, and process reviews
  • Coordinate the Process and Equipment Training Systems.
  • Coordinate in the material supply system
  • Participate in the specification, procurement, and qualification of capital equipment
    • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry.
    • At least 5 years of experience with MEMS and/or Semiconductor processing including PVD, CVD, Photolithography, DRIE, CMP, Plating, and Metrology techniques such as FIB, SEM, ellipsometry, AFM, FTIR, and profilometry.
    • Highly desirable is experience in fab operations management.
    • Experience defining and implementing statistical process control is desired.Working knowledge of statistical analysis and design of experiments is desired.The individual must be self-motivated, inquisitive, and must thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment and be able to support projects with little supervision. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to brief non-technical audiences, are required.Must be able to work and interact effectively with a wide spectrum of people, including technicians, unit process engineers, technical staff, and specialists.This position will require the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance. The primary requirement for a security clearance is US citizenship. - -#LI MF1
