CTG is seeking to fill aNetwork Architect 5long-term contract
opening.
Location: preferably onsite inDenverbut will accept remote
candidates willing to travel up to 30%
Duration: 12 months, with potential for extension or hire
Purpose:
TheWi-Fi Test Architectwill work closely with testing teams to
validate data and recommend changes using available Wi-Fi test
tools and test cases. The Wi-Fi Test architect will aim to improve
the overall quality of Wi-Fi testing using a solid understanding of
standard software feature validation and Wi-Fi automation.
Principal Accountabilities and Functions:
Analyze and validate data provided by testing teams
Participate in test case and tool set reviews, contribute
recommendations for product quality
Improve and add to existing Wi-Fi toolset
Validate standard Wi-Fi features
Leverage Wi-Fi automation scripts
Investigate found problems and drive the resolution using
troubleshooting tools, includes working closely with
Engineering/Consulting teams & helping resolve issues.
Mandatory Skills and Requirements:
Require 8-10+ years of Wi-Fi Test Engineering background,
preferably with In-Home Wi-Fi and has domain experience in more
than one of the following areas (MDU, Residential, Enterprise, SMB)
and focusing Wi-Fi architecture. Driving the long-term strategy
with Wi-FI.
Knowledge of broad market understanding with
engineering/strategy/architecture is strongly preferred.
Experience with in-home CPE platforms (Cable/xDSL)
Fluent in Wi-Fi 802.11 standard
Knowledge of specific Wi-Fi features (QoS, band steering, EasyMesh,
and others)
Construction of Wi-Fi specific test cases
Use of standard debugging tools (such as Wireshark and OTA
monitoring)
Have used Wi-Fi test tools such as Ixia, Veriwave
Understanding of Linux
Good background on Wi-Fi use for both data and video
Able to perform analytics on data
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical
Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
Ideal Skills and Capabilities:
Able to perform scripting and/or programming
Established Wi-Fi silicon vendor specific relationships
Experience with Wi-Fi troubleshooting
Has worked with open architectures such as Prpl and OpenWRT
Understanding of Cable broadband architectures
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the
ability to interact professionally with a diverse group is
required.
