role---Affinivax has an exciting new opportunity for a Logistics
Specialist within the Supply Chain organization to join our team.
The Logistics Specialist will perform shipment planning, booking
shipments with carriers, generate required shipment documentation,
coordinate schedules, and perform related system transactions. The
Logistics Specialist will perform PO issuance, shipment and order
tracking, and inventory reconciliation. Will perform duties in a
manner compliant with contractual obligations, as well as industry
and regulatory standards. This role will partner with several cross
functional teams including but not limited to Finance,
Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance to support supply
continuity.You will have the opportunity to---
- Develop shipment planning for global supply chain supporting
import/export and domestic materials including raw materials,
components, and all product stages.
- Perform documentation preparation and all related system
transactions.
- Book and track shipments ensuring on-time performance.
- Establish schedules and material status across the supply
chain. Inform key stakeholders of status, issues, problems, and
proposed solutions.
- Perform inventory reconciliation and reporting, warehouse
storage, excess and obsolete analysis, and disposition.
- Participate in inventory review meetings with inventory
planning, finance, and production teams. Prepare inventory reports
for Finance and Tax.
- Generate purchase orders for manufacturing related activities.
Track financial adherence to budget relative to transportation and
warehouse spend.
- Foster effective cross-functional teamwork and drive plan
execution. Proactively track critical path activities, anticipate
risks, support creating contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted
production and on-time delivery.
- Perform required deviations and CAPA's for shipment related
excursions.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned.Who you are and
what you bring to the team---
- A High School Diploma or equivalence; Bachelor's degree not
required but preferred.
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in a bio-pharma setting.
- Experience with domestic shipments and
Importing/Exporting.
- Knowledge with U.S. Customs/FDA/USDA requirements for transport
of pharmaceuticals.
- Knowledge with IATA (International Air Transportation
Association) and 49CFR shipping regulations (certifications
preferred).
- Experience with shipment of temperature sensitive
products.
- The ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks
simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and
comply with all company policies.
- Strong computer and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
