the nexus of what's next. About This Role: Forrester's Senior
Analyst for the Security & Risk (S&R) team conducts innovative
research and delivers advice through written reports, advisory,
client inquiries, webinars, and event speeches. This role works
with a team of analysts who research client initiatives concerning
securing operational technology (OT) environments, including
applying Zero Trust security principles and vendor solutions to
Operational Technology environments, including industrial control
systems (ICS). The Senior Analyst serves S&R professionals as
well as Forrester clients in other roles, including CIOs, CTOs,
enterprise architecture, and infrastructure and operations. Our
ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the most important
S&R trends as well as their business and technology
implications. Success in this position entails an appetite for
conducting and writing research, curiosity about new and emerging
trends, and comfortability with guiding executives in adopting best
practices. Job Description:
- As part of a small, collaborative high-performance team, the
Senior Analyst must:
- Develop a deep understanding of what Forrester clients need to
succeed as S&R leaders.
- Conduct research into key security aspects of operational
technology (OT) and how these apply to Forrester's Zero Trust Model
Of Information Security.
- Help define the future of information security and risk
management, including how these roles can work with other key
business functions and support organizational success.
- Writes research reports that convey new ideas relating to OT
and ICS security in a rich business context. These reports
typically: 1) introduce new perspectives regarding successful
business and technology strategies; 2) present organizational and
technology implementation plans; 3) compare new technologies or
services (e.g., via Forrester Wave---); or 4) predict emerging
technologies, trends, and business opportunities.
- Consult with clients to apply Forrester's research in the
context of their specific environment and help solve their problems
through inquiry and advisory.
- Present at Forrester-sponsored and industry events and deliver
- Establish an industry presence as an influential speaker and
thinker. Build relationships with senior S&R professionals, the
technology vendors serving them, and the journalists covering the
- Participate in vendor briefings and field press inquiries. Job
- A BA/BS degree or an equivalent work or military
- Proven experience in S&R role; a formulated strategy or
history of providing consultative advice to senior security
- Prior experience with OT or ICS systems preferred but not
- Deep intellectual curiosity about technology's effect on the
organization's mission and goals; solid business instincts; a
practical understanding of how S&R professionals operate and
the challenges they face; a creative view of markets, technologies,
and attitudes; and a fascination with the future.
- Superior listening, critical thinking, and writing skills, as
well as memorable presentation skills; the ability to take complex,
disparate ideas and distill them into simple, bold concepts - and
willingness to take a stand on vendors and outcomes.
