Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT) is on a mission to make the worlds roads and drivers safer. Our first product launched in 2012 and pioneered mobile usage-based insurance. Since then, CMT has become the worlds leading telematics and analytics provider for insurers, rideshares, personal safety providers, and automakers, providing telematics services for 80 enterprise programs in 20 countries. Powered by mobile sensing, artificial intelligence, and behavioral science, we measure driving quality, incentivize safer driving, assist users in crashes in real time, and improve the safety for millions of drivers every day around the world.

CMT is seeking an outstanding Senior Site Reliability Engineer (DevOps) to join us in building technology to reliably collect and manage data from sensors on smartphones and connected devices in vehicles. As a member of Operations, you will help accomplish our mission by expanding, improving, and operating our production internal and external service infrastructure. Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation and integration of AWS services into the CMT cloud service infrastructure to enhance scalability and robustness.
  • Extend automation and tooling for both operation and deployment of CMTs cloud service infrastructure.
  • Maintain strong relationships with engineering and QA to coordinate new infrastructure requirements and features as they deploy to the staging and production cloud services.
  • Identify operational enhancements and communicate them to engineering so they can be evaluated for the roadmap.

    Requirements
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience in technical operation, build and infrastructure deployment automation.
    • Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, IAM, ECS, RDS etc.)
    • Familiarity with AWS security and monitoring, and experience implementing enhancements.
    • Experience operating high availability systems in a cloud environment.
    • Familiarity and competence with Linux/Unix operating systems and Linux system administration.
    • Experience with Elastic Container Service, Elastic Map Reduce, Relational Database Service
    • Willing and able to participate in an On-Call rotation.
    • Strong communication skills both with external customers and internal team members.
    • Able to follow a clear process and contribute to the improvement of this process.
    • Team player and work in a collaborative environment.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and pipelines.
    • Python and Terraform a plus
    • Experience with Docker container infrastructure at scale is a plus.
    • Familiarity with common Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approaches, especially Agile is a plus
