Job Description:

The clinical modeling and simulation (MS) within Data Science at Sage Therapeutics is responsible for implementation of emerging quantitative methodology to support decisions in clinical development and regulatory submission. MS personnel work closely with regulatory affairs, medical science, clinical pharmacology, safety, and translational science groups to deliver high quality modeling and simulation results. This position is a hands-on position responsible for the development and execution of MS strategies and delivering analyses results for decision making in clinical development. The position will contribute to strengthening MS technical skillset, computational infrastructure, and utility of MS in clinical development. Roles and Responsibilities: Develop and execute MS strategies integrated with preclinical and clinical development Contribute to decision making at critical milestones in collaboration with statistics, clinical pharmacology, medical, research and translational science groups Perform population PK, PKPD, clinical trial simulation and other model-based analyses Basic Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in a quantitative scientific discipline (bio/statistics, mathematics, pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacokinetics, biomedical engineering or a related field) or Master's degree with relevant experience, or equivalent. 4 years of pharmaceutical industry experiences in quantitative disciplines of statistics, clinical pharmacology, pharmacometrics or QSP Preferred Qualifications: Excellent hands-on knowledge in R Ability to apply Bayesian MS tools such as STAN and JAGS to quantitative decision making Hands-on experience developing Shiny applications Experience with collaborative code development and versioning systems, e.g. with GitHub Hands-on experience with working in a cloud environment e.g. AWS/Azure Track record of applying quantitative tools in clinical development Track record of publication in MS Fluency in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills Embrace our core values: Put People First, Do Big, Be Accountable, Grow through Learning and Change, and Work Fun Excitement about the vision and mission of the Sage Therapeutics Employment Type:Contingent Worker Number of Openings:1 Job ID:R000564 #Biotechnology #Careers #ThisIsSage All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, or any other factors prohibited by law.
