Job Description:

The Real World Data Analyst within the Real World Evidence function of Sanofi's Digital Organization will execute statistical computational approaches to support Sanofi's product development pipeline. He/She/They will use large-scale patient databases and high performance computing to generate evidence and insight for R, Medical, HEVA, commercial product development, access and business strategy. The Analyst will lead and contribute to projects addressing questions posed by the product teams and investigators that will be used to make decisions to develop and commercialize the most impactful medicines.This role requires taking on a range of activities:Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with statisticians, modelers, pharmacometricians, translational scientists, RWE investigators, Data Scientists and IT partners bringing a deep understanding of the available data and core statistical approaches and visualization toolsBe a go-to person for data processing, biostatics and analytics platform supportHands on implementation of analytical solutions, data access, and management technologiesTake on initiatives that progress strategic data management and analytics capabilities for the departmentProvide technical and analytical expertise, coupled with a knowledge of disease or human biologyMaintain a keen awareness of developments in data technologies, analytics, methods and systemsEDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:Education:BA/BS + 10 yrs experience or Masters + 8 yrs or PhD + 5 yrs or similar mix of aptitude for learning and scientific research)Required Experience:5 years using biostatistics to perform descriptive analysis on patient data5 years with patient claims and electronic health records3 year using cloud and high-performance computing environments (AWS, GCP)Preferred Experience:Experience executing formal epidemiologic or outcomes research studies describing patient populations, health care utilization, treatment patterns, and effectiveness or safety outcomesPrior hands on experience in the execution of analytics on big data stacks (HDFS, Spark, NoSQL databases)Experience in application development (web development, Javascript, PHP, HTML5, CSS)Experience with systems integration, ETL technologies, systems and data migration (in life sciences space will be preferred)Required Skills:Proficiency using Python, R and SQL to transform data and perform statistical analysisData Science or Engineering Skills & Tools experience (e.g. data munging, data visualization, exploratory data analysis, Tableau, Plotly, JavaScript, Python, Spark, Hive, Pig, Data streaming, NoSQL, SQL)Excellent communication skills - written and verbalOrganizational Behaviors:Requires high level of interactive communication including challenges to conventional thinking as necessaryProven teamwork and collaboration skillsSanofi Inc. and its U.S. affiliates are Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employers committed to a culturally diverse workforce.
