Job Description* This position will be involved in all stages of vector production including upstream, downstream, experimental design, and production optimization.* Independently design, execute, analyze and troubleshoot experiments.* Provide various support functions in the Process Development team in the Global Gene Therapy group such as management of sample receipt and movement, laboratory organization, performing equipment calibration checks, ordering and tracking of lab materials and supplies, reagent preparation.Qualifications* BS/MS (minimum 0-2 years of industry related experience) in biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, or other related disciplines preferred.* Experience with performance of drug discovery research assays* Hands on experience and proficiency with either upstream or downstream production including, but not limited to, shake flasks, bioreactors or AKTA operation.* Experience with sterile technique, cell culture, analytical assays, and cell-based assays is preferred.* Prior experience with Gene therapies is a plus.* Good organizational and documentation skills are a must.* Ability to coordinate project tasks and project timelines, excellent organizational skills, administrative skills, and strong attention to detail, with proven ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.* Ability to interact effectively with clients at all levels and with all internal client departments and external contract services.* Ability to create and design reports in current computer systems.* Candidate must be highly independent and motivated and have the ability to work in a results-driven, fast paced environmentAdditional InformationPosition is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
