Job Description: Fidelity Investments, Data Science Co-Op Fidelity Investments - Co-Op - AI - ML - NLP - OR The Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence (AI COE) at Fidelity Investments is looking for Co-Op / Research Interns for to conduct applied research on areas related but not limited to Artificial Intelligence, ML, NLP, Computer Vision, Operations Research, Mathematical Programming, and Integration of Machine Learning and Discrete Optimization. Fidelity AI COE, located in downtown Boston, MA, offers an exciting environment for multidisciplinary research with access to a set of diverse data sources. We seek applicants from all areas of computer science, machine learning, operations research and related technical fields with a passion and demonstrated ability for independent research including a strong record of research publication. The Value You Deliver As part of a high caliber team of researchers and practitioners, you will be working closely with business stakeholders and be part of cutting-edge research to build solutions that will impact the organization for years to come. During the Co-Op internship, students are paired with mentors and expected to collaborate with other data scientists and researchers, present findings, and contribute to the research community. Publications are highly encouraged. The Expertise You Have

  • Must be currently enrolled in Msc/PhD program in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operations Research, or related technical fields
  • Experience in building unsupervised and supervised machine learning models
  • Experience in working with deep neural networks, Generative AI, Computer Vision and recent NLP architectures (Transformers, etc.)
  • Experience in solving constraint satisfaction and optimization problems
  • Knowledge in model evaluation, tuning and performance, and scalability of solutions
  • Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Proven track record of research publications at relevant venues The Skills You Bring
    • Solid background in algorithm design and data structures
    • Programming skills (C++, Java, Python etc.)
    • Machine Learning frameworks (scikit-learn, Tensorflow, PyTorch, Keras, HuggingFaceetc.)
    • Skills in building predictive machine learning models and prescriptive optimization models
    • Optimization packages and solvers (IBM Ilog, Cplex, Gurobi, Google OR-Tools etc.)
