About the role:

As a member of the Plasma Derived Therapies (PDT) Business Unit, Data Digital &Technology (DDT) Leadership Team and the PDT Ethics & Compliance (E&C) Leadership Team, you will develop and establish the ethics and compliance strategy with regards to data, digital and technology. Join Takeda as Head of Digital Ethics & Compliance, PDT BU . As part of the Ethics & Compliance Operations team, you will report to the Head of Ethics & Compliance, Plasma Derived Therapies.

How you will contribute:

  • Lead ethics by design across business projects with the PDT BU Digital, Data and Technology team and the global TRUST team, including the use of the Takeda AI Principles, the Data Privacy Policy and the IFPMA guidance on the ethical use of data and technology.
  • Prepare materials for, and periodically lead on topics at PDT BU RECC (Risk, Ethics & Compliance Committee) meetings and support the PDT BU DD&T Council on matters of E&C, Data Privacy and Tech Ethics.
  • Lead the design and implementation of the E&C Program across the PDT BU DD&T organization. Establish and lead the implementation of the Data Privacy and Tech Ethics Programs across PDT BU. Including Data Privacy Impact Assessment, Records of Processing/Data Inventory, Privacy Incident Management activities, design of the Tech Ethics control framework.
  • Contribute to global E&C program development projects, as relevant from time to time (Code of Conduct, Values Ambassador Program, Ethical Decision-Making based on PTRB, Policies and Procedures).
  • Based on needs assessment, establish the Learning Curriculum for E&C, Data Privacy and Tech Ethics across the PDT BU and design and implement capability building for PDT E&C LT and the PDT BU LT.
  • Work with Head of PDT R&D & Medical Affairs PDT BU to review the PDT device strategy as it relates to digital tools and potential data management.
  • Advisor to the PDT BU on Data Privacy and Tech Ethics matters including Mobile Application Development, Website Development, Market Research, Patient Support Program Development and Third-party Management and the ethical use of data and technology.


    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
    • Minimum 8 years' experience of Ethics & Compliance and Data Privacy in a regulated industry.
    • Privacy Certification(s) like IAPP-CIPM/CIPT/CIPE or equivalent.
    • Experience of internationally recognized standards applied to E&C programs, including policies, learning curricula, risk management, investigations and the use of supporting tools.
    • Demonstrated professional expertise on Data Privacy.
    • Clear understanding of data privacy laws and regulations in an international environment.
    • Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus and so is experience of applied tech ethics.
