Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
+ Inspects components and component parts for damage using
non-destructive testing and special tooling and equipment. Utilizes
special tools and equipment, performs tests and checks as required
to confirm component or aircraft serviceability.
+ Documents all inspection findings, work performed and corrective
action taken in the appropriate maintenance records.
+ Review, revise, and draft new NDT technique sheets, procedures,
and work instructions.
+ Audit internal and external NDT agencies to verify compliance to
procedures.
+ Assist the NDT Responsible Level 3 in the performance of directed
training, written and practical certification exams, and annual
method performance assessments.
+ Keeps area clean, orderly and FOD free. Follows standard work
procedures for equipment maintenance and clean up. Participates in
the total preventive maintenance program in the NDT shop. Ensures
tools and equipment are well maintained, operable and accounted
for.
+ Utilizes Lean and continuous improvement tools striving to
identify and eliminate waste in all its forms in an effort to
improve quality and safety, decrease lead time and reduce cost.
+ Conduct oneself in accordance with Company's Core Values.
+ Other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE -
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Minimum 6 years of documented NDT experience in the Magnetic
Particle (MT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), and Eddy Current (ET)
methods.
+ NAS-410 Level 3 certification in Magnetic Particle (MT) and
Liquid Penetrant (PT) is required. NAS-410 Level 3 certification in
Eddy Current (ET) preferred. You must maintain all certifications
received.
+ Ability to gain and maintain certifications for NAS-410 Eddy
Current (ET), Ultrasonic (UT), Radiographic (RT) inspection as
necessary within 2 years of hire or transfer into this
position.
+ Have the skills and knowledge to interpret codes, standards, and
other contractual documents.
+ Experience developing and revising NDT procedures, techniques and
training programs is preferred.
+ General knowledge of other NDT methods and techniques, as well as
product manufacturing and inspection technologies.
+ Experience auditing internal and external NDT systems.
+ Familiarity with NADCAP and AS9100/AS9110 quality systems is
preferred.
+ Familiar with the products and processes associated with aircraft
maintenance and manufacturing is preferred.
+ Certified per FAR Part 65 and able to obtain maintenance release
and inspection authorizations within six months of on-the-job
training learning CHI parts and processes.
+ Ability to understand repair station procedures, quality
management system procedures (maintenance and manufacturing) and
associated federal aviation regulations.
+ Proactive problem solver.
+ Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced
environment.
+ Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented
environment.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
+ Ability to travel domestically and internationally and have a
valid Driver's License
+ Must meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) as a
U.S. Person.
