Job Description:

Sanofi is seeking an experienced scientist to join the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) research platform of the North American Hub. This role is based in Cambridge and will be a hybrid role that allows for both on-site and remote work.Key Responsibilities

  • Represent DMPK on preclinical development projects to ensure effective integration of DMPK science into the company's strategy of developing first and best in class therapies for Oncology, Inflammatory and Rare/Neurological diseases
  • Contribute to the project team strategy at the early discovery phase up to first in human (FIH) trials
  • Characterize ADME and PK properties of small molecules, biologics, and/or gene therapies
  • Conceive and implement the preclinical strategy for predicting human efficacious and safe starting dose levels for first in human clinical trials
  • Support the DMPK organization by conceiving and executing studies (either internally or externally) to address critical knowledge gaps
  • Contribute to the writing and submission of regulatory documentsRequirements
    • Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Drug Metabolism, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmacokinetics or other relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree and 7 years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor's and 10 years of relevant experience---.
    • Ability to drive and lead ADME and PKPD strategies for discovery project teams
    • Ability to function in a matrix environment and communicate with a diverse set of ever-changing individuals is a must
    • Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to conduct, interpret, and communicate non-compartmental analysis (NCA) for non-regulated PK and TK reports is a plus
    • Ability to conduct quantitative PKPD analysis is a plus; ability to think about drug discovery through a PKPD lens is a must
    • Experience with the non-clinical development of nucleic acid-based therapies is a plus
