Patient Access Representative II, ED Nursing Assistant II, and ED
Patient Partners are eligible for a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for New
Hires Pro-rated bonus for part-time employees. Job Details CHA
provides 24-hour emergency care at our Cambridge and Everett
Hospitals. We are one of the busiest emergency services in
Massachusetts with approximately 100,000 combined annual visits and
have been recognized nationally as one of the most efficient
emergency services in the nation. Highlights include a
state-of-the-art patient triage and tracking system, a streamlined
admission process that helps us get the sickest patients to a
hospital bed sooner, rapid assessment protocol to help prioritize
our work, a BIDMC tele-stroke program, and an integrated
Psychiatric Emergency Services at Cambridge Hospital. The Patient
Access Representative II candidate must exhibit excellent customer
relations skills with patients, visitors, physicians, and
co-workers. Must understand and integrate into the delivery of
patient care the needs of specific ages in regard to their growth
and development. Must organize daily work, prioritize, and make
decisions concerning care to meet the needs of individual and
groups of patients. Assist in the care and safety of all patients
including behavioral health patients. Must adhere to and administer
treatment according to Cambridge Health Alliance's policies and
procedures. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited
to ability to work in a fast-paced Emergency Department, answer
phones, perform order entry, Phlebotomy (required to perform),
Point of care Testing, working under the direction of a registered
Nurse. Qualifications/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent
is required. Certificate of completion of a nursing, medical
assistant or EMT program in Massachusetts. Previous Certified
Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant with Emergency Department
experience. Will also consider a nursing student who has completed
a clinical rotation and or EMT/Paramedic certification. Emergency
Room Experience strongly preferred. Current Basic Life Support
(BLS) issued through the American Heart Association for Healthcare
Providers required. One year Phlebotomy preferred. Successful
passing of pre-employment physical including agility test required.
