Job Description:
Hiring Youth Team Leaders for the City of Cambridge to oversee a
cohort of Preteen and Middle School members in a licensed
afterschool program. As the Team Leader, you will be responsible
for team building, curriculum development, behavior management,
improving performance, and maintaining a culture consistent with
amazing community values!
- Manage cohort activities and behaviors during center activities
inside and outside of the building.
- Support Youth Workers' and Group Leaders' daily
activities.
- Plan, design, organize, and implement age-appropriate Youth
Center programs and activities for cohort and program, for
Pre-Teens between the ages of 9-13.
- Provide a safe, structured, and stimulating environment for
Youth Center members and volunteers.
- Attend and participate fully in staff meetings, planning
sessions, other meetings, staff development, and training programs
and activities as directed.
- Be a positive role model and develop meaningful relationships
with Youth Center members.
- Maintain an open, friendly, on-going communication with
families and schools about the progress of participants. Qualified
Candidates will possess:
- Two years' experience working with youth in an academic,
recreational, or athletic setting
- HS Diploma or GED
- Group supervisory skills
- Understanding of positive youth development
- Interest and ability to engage and support families. The City

backgrounds, and ideologies. Familiarity with Cambridge
neighborhoods preferred. Some post-secondary education preferred.
