Job Description:
Imaging Scientist FTE, Full Benefits US Citizen is a
requirement, local Hybrid work schedule.Applicants selected for
this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government
security clearance. As a member of the technical staff in the
Sensors and Imaging Systems Group, you will play a role in the
development of optical systems, photonic sensors, and prototype
hardware. You will work closely with a team of engineers and
physicists to develop, prototype, and test cutting-edge advanced
imaging technologies like structured illumination and solutions for
low SNR environments. You will interact with project teams to
evaluate requirements and provide insight towards imaging
advancement related to position, navigation, and timing. You will
work collaboratively with data scientists, system engineers, others
subject matter experts to produce quantitative, decision-making
data for emerging technologies. You will mentor junior members and
associates of lab and/or project team and enabling work of
direct/matrix reports or key collaborators within our functional
group. B.S. in physics, optics, or plus 1-5 years of experience or
equivalent mix of education and experience is required. Strong
record of successful project execution and team work skills are
required. Relevant experience with sensor systems including
electro-optical or infrared cameras, star cameras, radar, or GPSis
desirable. Significant experience in the design and analysis of
imaging systems in low SNR applications is required. You must be
highly self-motivated, and must thrive in a multidisciplinary team
environment Competency in applications such as, but not limited to,
Zemax, MATLAB, Simulink, C++, Python, Spice etc. is preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
