Job Description:
**Our Team**The Computational Biology Cluster is part of the
Precision Medicine & Computation Biology (PMCB) global research
function at Sanofi. We are looking for a leader in Data Engineering
and Data Ops with deep expertise in building big data products for
pharmaceutic, life science or healthcare verticals. The post holder
will be part of the Bioinformatics Data, Software and Pipeline
Engineering team in the Computational Biology cluster and helps to
index, integrate and infer new biomedical insights from biomedical
big data.**Main responsibilities**+ MS Computer science,
Information Science or equivalent experience with 10+ Years
engineering, implementing and managing reliable and data intensive
solutions in an industrial/life science setting+ Experience in
building data-intensive applications for healthcare or financial
industry verticals that handles high frequency data+ Experience in
gathering requirements, set tasks, timelines, costs and management
of projects/solutions based on self-directed discussions with
business/executive stakeholders+ Experience in modern web, software
and application development+ Experience in front-end, back-end and
middle wear technologies+ Hands-on experience in designing,
development and deployment of scientific applications that can
handle terabytes of data ((DNA, bulk-RNA, single-cell RNA, imaging,
flow-cytometry, proteomics etc.)+ Works according to agile
principles+ Experience in designing, developing and deploying Big
Data resources and applications that can handle terabytes of data
with proper performance and reliability+ Experience in one of the
key therapeutic areas of Sanofi - GMU, I&I or RND preferred+
Experience in presenting complex information in a comprehensive
manner to senior scientific and technical leadership+ Experience in
building data-rich solutions with focus on discovery research and
clinical data sets: example - multi-omics, imaging, NGS and patient
databases+ Experience in data integration tools+ Apply software
engineering rigor and best practices to machine learning, including
CI/CD, automation, etc.+ Work according to Agile and ITILv3
methodologies+ Ensures that the FAIR principles - data is Findable,
Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable - are realized+ A close
interaction and synergy with all PMCB in-silico and experimental
clusters and therapeutic area functions will be expected**Key
skills**+ Programming Languages: R, Python, JavaScript (angular,
react, node, express), html5/CSS, XSLT+ Orchestration: Ansible,
Puppet+ Automation: Jenkins, RunDeck, PaperMill+ Cloud: AWS, Azure
and GCP+ OS and Servers: Linux, nginx, Apache+ Virtualization:
VMWare, Docker, Azure, Redhat OpenShift+ High-performance computing
- configuration and management of optimal resources+ Databases:
ETL, MongoDB, MySQL, SQL/PLSQL, graph databases (neo4J), Informix,
Hadoop, Cassandra, BigQuery, Snowflake+ Big data technology stack:
Hive, Yarn, Spark/PySpark, NoSQL, Hadoop, Cassandra, Snowflake+
Experience in AI/ML Ops and Data Ops for peta-bytes of data and
database optimization+ Project Management: Experience with tools
like Jira, MS Project, Confluence etc.+ Methodologies: FAIR,
