It's a feeling of possibility, creativity, and purpose that inspires us every day.As an Investigator II in biochemistry group, you will broaden the applications of recombinant protein vaccine platform to many infectious diseases. You will support a growing, multi-level, early development team for the antigen design of novel vaccine constructs and production, and work with a multi-functional group of scientists to achieve the goal for the vaccine development. You will also work closely with the science leads and project managers to evaluate, manage, and communicate internally and externally on important strategic vaccine efforts.The Role

• Lead the recombinant protein vaccine development
• Oversee structure-based rational design of viral vaccine candidates and the production and characterization of the antigens to support new vaccine program
• Create the recombinant vaccine materials to support pre-clinical portfolio
• Are familiar with mammalian cell expression and with antigen design and production
• Strong experience of AKTA and other purification system is preferred
• Lead the multi-functional sub-team for the vaccine development
• Apply a range of biochemical and biophysical techniques to characterize target antigens
• Work to develop experimental protocols in the areas of protein biochemistry to support process improvements
• Collaborate with other teams, present research results in-house, externally, and for publication
• Maintain functional laboratory equipment and follow HSE regulation
• Help build and promote a positive culture and working environmentYour skills and experience
  • PhD and 5+ years of post-doc experience in biochemistry or structural virology or
  • PhD and 3+ years of industry experience required in a related field
  • Technical knowledge and relevant laboratory experience in protein biochemistry
  • Demonstrate broad knowledge in protein biochemistry and is a subject matter expert and technical leader both within and outside of the research team
  • Demonstrate time and resource management, communication, record-keeping, and teamwork
