To request reasonable accommodation, please contact Security Associate position requires in-depth knowledge of the Commercial Background Investigation (CBI) process, Defense Information Security System (DISS), Security Information Management System (SIMS) database and Visitor Management system where accuracy and attention to detail is required. Additional daily functions include contractor badging, coordinating and executing security briefings, processing incoming and outgoing classified visits and assisting the Personnel Security (PERSEC) team with processing clearance applications. Assists with highly visible Visitor Service Center administration to include access control, badging and ensuring security policies. Serves as the back-up for the security receptionist and associate responsibilities and demonstrates exceptional customer service and professionalism. -Essential Functions/Required Experience

  • -Coordinate the day-to-day operations of Drapers Personnel Security function for contractors and consultants to include all badging actions. Manage the new hire and termination processes to include security briefings, badging and data entry. Coordinate replacement badge requests and provide assistance to all Draper employees/contractors. Manage and ensure compliance of the Background Investigation program for all contractors. Monitor expiring contracts and notify contractors of renewals, terminations and badge requests.
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of Drapers Personnel Security function for employees, contractors and consultants to include security briefings, badging actions and other related tasks. Complete and perform incoming and outgoing classified visits while ensuring accuracy.
  • Assist, collect and review personal documents to establish identity and employment verification. Assist with replacement badge requests and provide assistance to all Draper employees/contractors. Assist with all Visitor Service Center functions.
  • Provides daily back-up coverage for security receptionist to include: daily visitor check-in, badge issuance, verify acceptable documentation is on file, answer general visitor questions and maintain visitor records of arrival and departure using security databases and the visitor management system (VMS).
  • Assist with the new hire and termination processes to include security briefings, badging and data entry. Maintain and assist with the execution and tracking of security briefings to include, but not limited to, CNWDI/NATO.
  • Responsible for all badging actions to include: executing required paperwork, taking badge photos, and printing/programming badges.Qualifications
    • Current in scope Secret security clearance is required
    • Bachelors degree in Security, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred
    • 6 months 1 year of related experience preferred
    • Working knowledge of business software such as AssureID, SIMS, DISS, DSX, NISS and RightCrowd preferred.
    • Organization, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills
    • Customer service experience preferred
    • Microsoft suite experience required
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - -#LI MD1
