Reporting to the Head of Global Medical Information, the Lead, Medical Information manages the day-to-day execution of addressing unsolicited medical information requests and partnering with Global Medical Information vendor partners to build and support global medical information infrastructure. The Lead, Medical Information, works to ensure that inquiries received are addressed in a tailored fashion to meet the specific needs of the request. This role also collaborates with other Global Medical Affairs team members and cross-functional teams to assist in addressing medical information requests received globally.

  • Create, update and/or review Global Medical Information content (e.g., Medical Information templates, Standard Response Letters, and FAQs) and custom (escalated) responses to inquiries
  • Develop a strategy, prioritization, and project plan for the development/maintenance and review/approval of global medical information response documents and to ensure information-sharing as well as consistency across regions of the world
  • Act as a main point of triage to address escalated unsolicited questions from the Amylyx Global Medical Information Contact Centers, including but not limited to healthcare providers, patients, caregivers, consumers, patient advocacy organizations, payers, and healthcare decision-makers
  • Liaise with the Amylyx Global Medical Information vendor partners to provide approved documents for usage with clear direction and guidance
  • Partner and collaborate with other key stakeholders within Amylyx (i.e., Scientific Communications, Global Medical Affairs, Global Medical Operations, Global Field Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access, Clinical Research, Quality, Pharmacovigilance, Commercial Operations, Patient Support Services)
  • Assist with Amylyx Global Medical Information monthly reports of metrics and other ways to properly convey Medical Information insight sharing
  • Lead and support training initiatives, both internal and external to Global Medical Information
  • Critically evaluate the published medical and scientific literature related to ALS and other neurodegenerative diseases of interest and relevant competitive products
  • Help to address scientific questions received from the Field Medical team


    • Advanced scientific degree required (i.e., PharmD, Ph.D., or MD degree) with 3+ years of direct Global Medical Information experience in the pharmaceutical industry, additional Medical Affairs experience a plus
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to correctly identify the inquirer's question(s) and formulate and communicate an accurate response
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including empathetic customer service skills
    • Ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams across geographies
    • Working knowledge of global pharmaceutical rules, regulatory law, guidelines, and codes (e.g., PhRMA Code)
    • Demonstrated project management skills
    • Highly proficient in computer applications/systems, including Microsoft Office software platforms, Adobe Acrobat, and Veeva Vault. Preferred experience using a document management system with the aptitude to learn other computer systems.
