DaCapo Brainscience (www.dacapobrain.com) is built to create
revolutionary, disease-modifying therapeutics for neurological
diseases. We are fusing our unique understanding of biological
systems, our induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-based neuronal
culture systems, our proprietary analyses of patient databases, and
our pioneering AI/ML algorithms to create an integrated platform
for disease-definition and target discovery. With this platform, we
can identify novel molecular subtypes of disease and corresponding
drug targets for neurodegenerative diseases. DaCapo's scientific
co-founders are Vikram Khurana Ph.D., M.D., Jian Peng Ph.D., and
Lorenz Studer M.D..
DaCapo Brainscience is seeking a talented and versatile scientist
to help advance our novel artificial intelligence (AI)-driven
personalized medicine program for neurodegenerative diseases. This
position is responsible for validating and importing the DaCapo
founders' unique and groundbreaking iPSC technology. The position
will be laboratory-based and requires strong experimental skills in
induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) culture and central nervous
system (CNS) cell-type differentiation.
- Maintain iPSC (or human embryonic stem cells) and differentiate
them into central nervous system cell types such as neurons,
astrocytes, oligodendrocytes and microglia. - Perform quality
control measures for stem cells and differentiated cells. - Support
characterization and assay development of differentiated central
nervous system cells.
