Job Description - Program Coordinator (3211078) General Summary The Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Immigrant Health is seeking a highly motivated individual to provide administrative and operational support. In this unique position, the program coordinator will assist with the MGH Center for Immigrant Health's diverse activities including growth and development, education, community outreach, monitoring and evaluation, quality improvement, and communications. The Program Coordinator will also have the opportunity to contribute to the Center's program development, clinical protocols, and care pathways in resource navigation, medical-legal partnerships, nutrition, and mental health programming. The program coordinator will work to support the Center's engagement and outreach activities, including organizing an annual Migration is Beautiful inclusivity campaign, coordinating monthly meetings for the MGH Immigrant Health Coalition and quarterly meetings for the Community Advisory Board, and collaborating with partner centers and institutions. Critical thinking, independence, superb organization skills, and a strong sense of accountability are of utmost importance in this position and are required to succeed. Given the sensitive nature of immigration status, ability to handle confidential information is also a requirement. The candidate should demonstrate analytical skills and ability to resolve technical problems, and would benefit from a basic knowledge of data management programs and statistical software. Writing ability and communication skills are also essential. This position is well suited for an individual interested in pursuing graduate studies or a career in the fields of medicine, public health, social work, health administration, or nonprofit management. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains multiple calendars, sets appointments and meeting agendas
  • Manages multiple inboxes and email distribution lists
  • Develops and distributes internal communications, such as meeting minutes, task lists, etc.
  • Writes external communications such as compiling annual reports, memos, newsletters, and other documents
  • Assists with writing and managing IRBs for program evaluation, quality improvement, and research projects
  • Assists with grant preparation and administration
  • Liaises with the MGH Development Office and Grants Office to coordinate funding opportunities
  • Assists with website content development and maintaining social media accounts
  • Maintains organizational budget, including compiling financial reports, managing grants and awards, facilitating reimbursements, etc.
  • Assists with recruitment strategies and hiring/onboarding process for program staff and volunteers, including vetting applications, coordinating interviews, etc.
  • Coordinates educational electives and events for trainees and staff
  • Develops and plans inventory for materials for distribution to patients/staff in clinical programs and at internal and community-facing events, such as educational badge backers, resource handouts, gift cards, etc.
  • Organizes both in-person and virtual outreach activities including community events, tabling, etc.
  • Conducts data entry and collects, organizes, maintains, and analyzes clinical and program data
  • Uses software to generate graphs and reports
  • Conducts library/literature searches
  • Assists with implementation of clinical programming
  • Develops and maintains collaborations with institutional and community-based partners

  • Ability to adapt to different work environments across multiple departments and institutions Education : Bachelor's degree required.
