BioMedical Research (NIBR). This division is the innovation engine
of Novartis, focusing on powerful new technologies that have the
potential to help produce therapeutic breakthroughs for patients.
Analytical Sciences and Imaging (ASI), a platform group at NIBR, is
a global team of 'omics and imaging experts that advance
technological innovation across the Institute by driving
collaborations with project teams to enable new therapeutic
platforms to deliver transformative medicines. Our team has an
exciting opportunity seeking a highly motivated data scientist to
push 'omics technologies in addressing key questions of novel
therapeutic platforms and modalities, such as cell and gene therapy
and targeted protein degradation ASI at NIBR. The successful
candidate will have experience in innovative workflow development,
biology data interpretation, and complex study design for key
scientific questions, using proteomics and/or multiomics to be part
of our team committed to support leading edge drug discovery
efforts. You will work in a matrix team environment, at the
interface of all disease areas and platform groups at NIBR,
intersecting with experimental scientists and computational experts
within ASI and NIBR. Your responsibilities will include: ---
Generating clear impact by distilling the complexity of available
data into a biological interpretation, e.g. advancing
identification of novel targets with proteomics data, plus genomics
or metabolomics; target validation; or biomarkers in multiple
therapeutic areas --- Developing and leading innovative proteomics
and multiomics analysis workflows and pipelines and data/digital
solutions to drive breakthrough science --- Championing our data
citizen model to further empower wet lab scientists' bioinformatics
expertise development --- Leading strong collaborations across
departments and domains to multiply impact and advocate the utility
of our large data assets \n\n\n\n **Position Title:** Multiomics
