Job Summary

As part of the Regenerative Medicine team, we are seeking a Research Associate II/Senior Research Associate to join an exciting, fast-growing and well-financed company. Successful candidates will be integral in developing stem cell-derived therapies for regenerative medicine. Successful candidates will have strong cellular and molecular biology skills with extensive experience in analytical test methods and pluripotent stem cells. The position requires enthusiasm, passion, self-motivation, analytical mind set, attention to detail, and a desire to create novel therapies for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and qualify cell-based bioassay/potency assays and characterization assays
  • Conduct time sensitive experiments and analyze data under the direction of a Research Scientist.
  • Conduct key analytical testing (FACS, IHC, ELISA) of differentiated and edited cells.
  • Perform research requiring molecular biology techniques including DNA/RNA analysis, qPCR/ddPCR, and other plate-based assays.
  • Demonstrated experience with aseptic cell culture methods, including cryopreserving, thawing, and expanding cell lines.
  • Analyze data, prepare detailed research reports and present findings to internal groups.
  • Maintain detailed documentation records and author reports, SOPs, batch records and other materials to facilitate tech transfer, manufacturing, and regulatory submissions
    Minimum Qualifications
    • BS or MS in biology or related discipline and 6+ years of relevant academic/industry experience
    • Prior experience with human pluripotent stem cell culture techniques
    • Extensive experience with cell-based assays, PCR, FACS, IHC, and ELISA
    • Prior experience with in vitro assay development
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Track record of intellectually challenging oneself to enhance scientific abilities
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a results-oriented research team
    • Highly organized with significant attention to detail and record keeping
      Preferred Qualifications
      • MS in stem cell biology, immunology (T/NK cells), or related discipline and 5+ years of relevant research experience
      • Expertise in analytical testing
