Senior Research Associate I, PCLT - Research. Position Summary. ultrainnovative - Tackle rare and dynamic challenges. Reporting to the head of PCLT-Research, the SRA I will drive CRISPR studies and develop single-cell RNAseq capabilities. Additionally, SRA I will support the molecular and genetic characterization of producer cell lines and further drive HeLa 3.0 platform development.. Responsibilities. Actively contribute to development of suspension rAAV-producing stable cell lines to enable phase III clinical trials and commercialization. Develop and conduct molecular assays for cell line analysis. Stable/transient plasmid transfection of suspension/adherent mammalian cell cultures. Must demonstrate a keen knowledge of experimental design, underlying scientific principles, and the ability to analyze and assess results. Ensure high-quality, timely documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks and technical reports and contribute to regulatory filings. Evaluate large data sets from various sequencing platforms. Perform CRISPR knockout studies. Work as part of a cross-functional team to drive innovation. Requirements. BS or MS in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, or related field with 3-5 years of industry experience. Mammalian cell culture experience required. Strong familiarity with molecular biology techniques required: Cloning, Western Blot, etc.. Hands on CRISPR experience required. qPCR, western blot, flow cytometry assay experience is preferred. RNAseq experience is a plus. Experience with high throughput screening is a plus. Experience running NGS platforms a plus. Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. Strong collaboration, team-working skills and communication skills. Independently motivated and detail-oriented with good problem-solving ability.
