Astellas is announcing a Senior Research Associate, Incubation Lab opportunity at their Astellas Innovation Management (AIM) site in Cambridge, MA.

Purpose:

Senior Research Associate of Incubation Lab (I-Lab) in AIM is responsible for supporting to create and advance early stage research programs in line with the I-lab strategy. One of the key roles of Senior Research Associate in I-Lab is to build research plan and to conduct experiment under the direction of leaders. Other key role of Senior Research Associate in I-lab is to connect with third parties (Academia, BV, CRO, etc.) and support the collaboration with them under the direction of leaders to accelerate network type drug discovery research.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

* To establish research plans to support to create and advance early stage programs under the discussion with internal leaders. * To conduct internal research by performing the experiments and analytical procedures through implementing the latest techniques. * To communicate multiple types of third party (Academia, BN, CRO, etc.) and support some portion of the collaboration under the discussion with internal leaders. * To communicate and collaborate with internal functions under the discussion with internal leaders. * To conduct lab management works. * May lead some aspect of a project in a small lab group. * To provide good presentation based on the written and oral communication skills.

Quantitative Dimensions:

* Support to enrich and advance internal early stage portfolio.

Organizational Context:

* The Senior Research Associate reports to Senior Director, Head of I-Lab.

Qualifications:

Required:

* BS over five (5) years and MS over three (3) years * Knowledge and expertise on molecular biology and/or pharmacology * Good communication skill that can facilitate the relationship with internal colleagues and external (potential) partners

Preferred:

* Knowledge and expertise on Drug toxicology, DMPK, development and IP.
