Job Description:

Rubius Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing a new class of medicines called Red Cell Therapeutics. Our proprietary RED PLATFORM was designed to genetically engineer and culture Red Cell Therapeutics that are selective, potent and off-the-shelf allogeneic cellular therapies for the potential treatment of several diseases across multiple therapeutic areas. Our therapies can potentially be used to kill tumors in cancer and to regulate the immune system for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. We are currently enrolling patients in a Phase 1/2 clinical trial of RTX-240 in patients with relapsed/refractory or locally advanced solid tumors. In addition, RTX-240 is being evaluated in a second Phase 1 arm of the clinical trial for the treatment of patients with relapsed/refractory acute myeloid leukemia, and our IND has been cleared by the U.S. FDA for RTX-321 for the treatment of human papillomavirus 16-positive cancers.

We are looking for a Director of Talent Acquisition to continue to build and develop our incredible culture and talent strategies for the Talent Acquisition team and business stakeholders. You will lead the Talent Acquisition efforts that includes process improvement, strategic sourcing, engagement, technology enhancement, analytics, branding, training and overall candidate experience. The Director of Talent Acquisition must lead our growing company and drive results, while remaining agile to support our hiring success. This is a wonderful opportunity to be a part of a highly collaborative HR team and support our mission to bring our medicines to patients.


  • Partner with our leadership team to understand business needs and support recruiting efforts throughout the organization
  • Drive continuous, data-driven improvement of Talent Acquisition strategy and processes
  • Develop strong relationships with HR Business Partners and Finance to manage headcount and align resources with priorities
  • Leverage various talent acquisition strategies to adapt in a fast-paced environment and manage resources effectively
  • Lead and strategize our branding strategy to be an employer of choice across of social and external channels
  • Support senior and executive level recruitment needs of the organization
  • Be a people-oriented leader that values input across multiple perspectives and can synthesize ideas
  • Leverage data and have an ability to deep-dive to gain and share insights with leadership
  • Create the Talent Acquisition strategy and programs that attract top talent to Rubius and adds to Rubius' strong culture
  • Partner with Corporate Affairs to manage our employer brand and best position Rubius with the external market
  • Manage relationships with third-party agencies and vendors

Qualifications & Education

  • B.S.+ with 12+ years of Talent Acquisition experience, in the life sciences and/or technology industry with proven ability to build high-performing organizations
  • Experience leveraging data to communicate to leadership to identify strengths and opportunities within talent processes/programs to guide our teams to exceptional performance
  • The ability to identify and attract top talent, both for an organization and for your own team
  • Proven ability of having developed high performing teams, programs, solutions or strategies
  • Passion for staying up to date with the latest TA trends and best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to be seen as a true Talent Partner to all levels of the business
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills - you are proactive, dynamic and thorough
  • Experience in system implementation, social media strategy, training and competitive market intel
