We're looking for you.The Opportunity:The Automation Engineer position is at the heart of the company. We are looking for someone to continue the growth of Relay Therapeutics' discovery engine and unique discovery processes. In collaboration with our discovery researchers and compound management team, you will lead the automation initiatives across Relay Therapeutics with a primary focus on High Throughput Screening. Your Role:Develop and maintain automated systems including process and technology evaluation. Advance process development through application and integration development with our LIMS and informatics supportDevelop strong relationships with our external robotic, software and consulting resourcesHelp drive toward the success of our automation platform through identification of new robotic systems and further development of current systemsMentor and train user groupsYour Background:Bachelor's degree in an engineering field, with 8+ years' experience in the pharma, biotech industryDesire to drive our automated platform in a laboratory setting working with cutting-edge automation equipmentExpertise in laboratory automation and development of robotic systemsA self-motivated, detail oriented individual able to multitask with an inventive attitudeDemonstrated strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer serviceMust be flexible and responsive to changing prioritiesDemonstrated ability to effectively meet deadlines while working in a time dependent atmosphereAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentWe believe in building balanced teams and a place where our people can be their best self every day.
