We are an exciting, fast-growing biotech company that has changed the rules for how liquids move. Viscous liquids are sticky, and they don't flow easily-think ketchup, toothpaste, heavy oil, or paint. This creates a lot of waste and inefficiency and handcuffs the way we design. But not anymore. Invented at MIT, our liquid surface technology eliminates the friction between liquids and solids to help liquids flow with ease and enables breakthroughs that used to be impossible. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the SVP Business Development and GM, CPG will be a key member of the Executive Team and is responsible for leading LiquiGlide's consumer business and ultimately a packaging revolution. This role has P&L responsibility as well as leading the business development activities that will create valuable partnerships and licensing deals to bring LiquiGlide's disruptive coatings to the consumer products industry on a global scale. This is an exciting opportunity to not only change the rules for packaging design, but to also have far-reaching effects on sustainability by eliminating waste and increasing recyclability of packaging. The role is based at LiquiGlide's office in Cambridge, MA and requires travel as needed. Responsibilities: -- Own and drive business development globally, building deep relationships with key partners and recruiting a world class sales and marketing team. -- Be the visionary that sees and actualizes opportunities primarily within the premium beauty category as well as other consumer packaged goods businesses. -- Partner closely with the engineering team to forecast business and align on strategies to take LiquiGlide's coatings to markets in diverse applications -Negotiate license partner agreements and oversee collaborative development, tech transfer, and commercialization for LiquiGlide-enabled packaging and products. What you bring: -Experience bringing novel materials technology to market, from early development to hundreds of millions of dollars of recurring revenue. -Significant experience sourcing and negotiating joint development agreements and licensing deals with fortune 500 consumer products companies. -Data driven approach to commercial strategy and value-based pricing. -Can deliver on a tactical level and think at a strategic level-balancing quick wins against long term growth. -Experience building and managing sales and marketing teams in close collaboration with engineering teams. -Startup experience strongly preferred. -Experience in the health and beauty industry preferred.
