Intern- Machine Learning & Data Science - Cambridge, MA - Summer 2021 Are you interested in an Intern opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing a graduate (MS) or PhD to participate in a 3 month paid internship at our Cambridge site. Through this role, you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience in engineering for a HealthTech company. In this role, you have the opportunity to Contribute to novel algorithm development using our large, in-house healthcare datasets. You are responsible for --- Data curation and developing machine learning models for clinical decision support--- Evaluating and validating model results on test datasets--- Summarizing and reporting results in the form of a scientific paper and presentation.You are a part ofA large team of data scientists, computer science and biomedical engineers who work on building machine and deep learning-based tools to enable clinicians to anticipate patient needs and make better care decisions.To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience--- Current Ph.D. or M.S. candidate in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or Statistics--- Proficient in machine/deep learning--- Experience in working with SQL databases & Apache Spark--- Knowledge of Python programming language--- Experience with large clinical datasets--- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team--- Good communication & presentation skills In return, we offer you The ability to collaborate with, learn and grow from colleagues in a highly complex, global organization where you can use your strengths to help drive strategic business initiatives for Philips.
