The position is based in Cambridge, MA with telecommuting possible,
permanent remote US-based considered.

Our customer base, networks, and product offerings are growing
rapidly, and we are expanding our Clinical Sciences & Operations
team with the hiring of a senior researcher to join the newly
formed RWE, Datasets, and Consulting team. Successful candidates
will play a central role in the study design, programming,
statistical analysis, results interpretation, and reporting of
findings using our proprietary electronic health record (EHR)
database, healthcare claims, and chart review data supporting RWE
generation studies and consulting engagements. You will initially
serve as an individual contributor on customer sponsored
prospective/retrospective observational real-world data (RWD)
studies, clinical studies incorporating RWD, and other projects to
ensure high-quality deliverables to our life sciences customers and
other strategic collaborators. As the team grows, there will be
opportunities for people management and to manage study teams when
serving as the lead researcher.
- Serve as Primary Researcher on RWE studies with primary
- Study design, analytic file development, data management,
statistical analysis, and results generation for a variety of
internal and external RWE studies, consulting engagements, and
stakeholder requests using SAS and other software programs.
- Utilization of our Research Platform to access global federated
EHR available from our 150+ member healthcare organizations (HCOs)
in 32 countries, downloadable research-ready US EMR data currently
from 41 HCOs and 64 million patients, linked US EMR-claims data,
and third-party data sources to obtain patient counts, explore
patient populations, treatment pathways, and compare cohorts for
sponsored and independent research.
- Providing customers with curated RWD and RWE for clinical trial
control arms, support of label expansion, pre-and post-launch
activities, value proposition development and support, scientific
conference presentation, and peer-review publication. Study designs
include retrospective database, chart review, and prospective
observational studies, and real-world comparator arm clinical
- Delegation and oversite of project work to SAS programmers,
analysts, and other contributors across TriNetX.
- Support growth of RWE, Datasets, and Consulting by responding
to Requests for Information (RFI) and Proposals (RFP), develop
proposals for non-competitive opportunities, identify engagement
opportunities in collaboration with TriNetX Industry Sales and
- Conduct demonstrations of TriNetX Platform Analytics.
- Present during company-sponsored informational, study-specific,
and application of RWD to health-related topics in the news and of
particular interest to the biopharma and device industry.
- Work with other members of RWE, Datasets, and Consulting to
develop and maintain SOPs for programming, analysis, documentation,
maintenance, and q/a of SAS and R code, reporting standards, and
code and format libraries to ensure internal and external
consistency across engagements.
- Train and mentor junior staff
- Work with cross-functionally with internal teams including
Engineering, Product Management, Data & Informatics, Clinical
Analytics & Feasibility, and internal stakeholders to:
- Identify, design, and test new TriNetX Research Platform query
build and analytic features
- Evaluate the structure and quality, and test use cases for RWD
sources available for purchase, partnership, or acquisition.
What you bring to the table:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in a health-related or quantitative
- A minimum of 5 years designing and conducting real-world
observational studies for life science companies, consultancies, or
in an academic setting.
- Advanced knowledge of SAS/BASE, SAS/MACRO, and SAS/SQL.
- Demonstrated application of statistical methods such as various
uses of propensity score weights, logistic regression, GLM, nested
analysis, analysis of skewed (e.g., healthcare cost) data,
time-to-event analysis, and recycled predictions using SAS/STAT and
R; other statistical software and visualization tools a plus.
- Ability to plan, organize, and work on multiple tasks
simultaneously and often in different therapeutic areas while
maintaining accuracy and attention to detail is required.
