Ohana Biosciences is seeking a commercial operations executive
to play a vital role in the company's first launch, helping to
build and establish commercial excellence at Ohana. As the Head of
Commercial Operations, you will bring your strategic and
operational leadership and be responsible for building and
establishing the function at Ohana Biosciences. Reporting to the
Chief Commercial Officer and serving as a key member of the
Commercial Leadership Team, in this newly created position you will
develop and execute the strategy for commercial excellence &
operations and help lead the launch readiness and a successful
launch for Ohana's first product in the Reproductive Health.
Ideally, you will be based in Cambridge, MA. What You'll Do
- Work collaboratively with commercial leadership to develop and
implement a field deployment strategy to support launch into the
fertility space and establish Ohana as a premier partner to
- Build commercial operational capabilities, including the
establishment of individual roles and teams, and all processes,
systems and tools required to support Sales, Marketing, and Market
- Work cross-functionally to ensure commercial systems launch
readiness, including implementing a CRM and key reporting and
- Build and manage the day-to-day activities of Sales Operations
including sales planning, sales training and compliance, field
communications, territory design, incentive compensation, field
technologies, sample management, and fleet management.
- Build and lead Decision Support function that will procure,
collect, and store all data for the commercial organization.
Institute process and framework for business reviews.
- Provide leadership and management for key Ohana corporate
processes (such as: long range plans, budgeting, and resource
planning) on behalf of the US Commercial organization.--
- Develop the demand and launch forecast models in partnership
with Sales, Marketing, and Finance.--
- Oversee establishment of and training on important reporting
and compliance activities including those related to sample
management and physician payments.
- Educate Sales team on effective use of data and data reports to
analyze and optimize their business.
- Build and manage the day-to-day activities of Marketing
Operations including speaker programs development and management,
conventions management, content management, meetings management,
and promotional materials management.
- Work collaboratively with key functions including Sales,
Marketing, IT, Medical Affairs and Market Access. What You'll Bring
- 10+ years of relevant commercial experience in biotech/pharma,
with at least 5 years of experience in commercial operations,
analytics or related functions. Bachelor's degree required; MBA or
other advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth
- Have previously built or expanded a Commercial Operations
function with additional capabilities and experience supporting a
successful launch / post-launch.
- Experience in fertility or medical devices a plus but not
- Experience in buy and bill reimbursement markets.
- Highly analytical mindset adept at using data to support
decisions and communicating complex ideas clearly to diverse
- Ability to influence without authority and develop
relationships with field-based teams.
- Comfortable with ambiguity; can drive towards implementation in
an evolving environment.
- Naturally collaborative commercial leader who is able to drive
exceptional cross-functional partnerships with diverse internal and
