Foghorn -- --Therapeutics is discovering and developing a novel class of precision medicine therapeutics targeting the chromatin regulatory system in oncology. Through its scalable Gene Traffic Control? product platform, Foghorn is systematically interrogating and drugging the chromatin regulatory system. The Company, currently in pre-clinical stage, is advancing over 10 small molecule and protein degrader programs across a wide range of cancers. About the Chromatin Regulatory System The chromatin regulatory system regulates gene expression by directing the movement of molecules that turn genes on and off. Disease dependencies associated with the chromatin regulatory system are estimated to impact over 2.5 million cancer patients across the United States, Europe and Japan. This system is further implicated in neurological, autoimmune, and other serious diseases. Job Summary Foghorn Therapeutics is seeking a Research Program Lead to efficiently manage our research programs from early stage drug discovery through Commercialization. S/He will lead multiple cross-functional teams and drive our programs across multiple innovative and scientific teams ? Drug Discover, Biology, Medicinal Chemistry, Translational, CMC, DMPK/Tox and external collaborations. Our ideal candidate will bring scientific expertise and outstanding organizational and influential skills to coordinate the advancement of Foghorn science and development milestones. S/He will transform program strategy into executable and efficient project plans aligning to research strategies, objectives and budgets. This individual will be responsible for transition of assets and a central point of contact for portfolio ownership for communicating regular project updates and workflow assignments to internal research teams and alliance partners. S/He will support the SLT on strategy, Board Governance activities, integrated budget management, communications, portfolio reviews and more. Responsibilities Oversee program management ? from early Drug Discover through Commercialization Strategically develop cross-functional program plans, including tracking and coordinating, communicating across multiple teams; drive project and portfolio reviews and applying an appropriate level of knowledge with a high degree of innovation and resourcefulness to influence projects or teams Understands and leads with a strong understanding of project and scientific teams in relation to our broader portfolio; impacts broader scientific decision-making; ensure team alignment Owns plans, project timelines, budget and resource allocations Provides support for the Scientific Leadership team scheduling and directing internal and external meeting, organizing presentation materials, drafting and distributing meeting agendas, managing meeting minutes and action items, including responsibility for follow-up on action items Anticipates critical gaps, risks, or issues and proactively plans for them; drives effective resolution of program issues and communicates with executive leadership regarding proposed solutions Owns and communicates regular project updates and workflow assignments to internal research teams and alliance partners; leads project/program timelines Drives project/portfolio reviews and applies a high level of degree of innovation and resourcefulness to influence projects or teams Contributes to culture of continuous learning by assessing current standard methodologies, using metrics to inform data-driven decision making for process improvement. Strategic and facilitative, requiring a forward-thinking individual with strong interpersonal skills, scientific acuity and the capability to adeptly shift between priorities Qualifications 10+ years in bio/pharma with drug discovery experience through clinical development Advanced degree in scientific discipline (PhD, PharmD or equivalent) Knowledge of preclinical and clinical oncology drug development required Adept at leading cross-functional development teams; Proven success at leading cross-functional teams of line professionals Outstanding organizational and time-management and organizational skills with the ability to effectively track project information, correspondence, and details across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Ability to adjust to rapidly shifting priorities as needed
