The Role:

As the lead for the medical affairs systems team, you will be spearheading Moderna ambitious medical affairs digital strategy. You will lead the build-up of our global medical affairs capabilities. You’ll be able to define and implement digital solutions for medical affairs bringing together content, data and workflows in a digital context. You'll support colleagues primarily in medical affairs but will work in close collaborations with colleagues in commercial and clinical. You will act as a solution architect for our medical affairs platforms ensuring alignment of technical solutions with Moderna's overall digital strategy. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment in rapid expansion and will have to define scalable and nimble processes to rapidly respond to business changes.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

Architect content management solutions for medical affairs on Veeva Vault Platform

Integrate medical affairs platforms and applications across medical education and information workflow

Define and execute a global medical CRM strategy to manage interactions across the health care ecosystem: physicians, pharmacists,nurses, care givers, academics, payors…

Evaluate and recommend multi-channel external capabilities to reach partners in the health care ecosystems

Explore and deliver innovative approaches to healthcare providers interaction (virtual calls, chatbots, mobile content delivery)

Engage with our Data Science and Informatics team to develop innovative and pertinent analytics solutions to support medical affairs business goals

Collaborate with business partners in medical affairs to define and evolve a native digital medical affairs integrated platform to optimize the value of medical affairs in supporting Moderna's vision of agility, leanness, automation and digital integration

Manage systems engineers and vendors accountable for the compliant, reliable and scalable operations of medical affairs digital platforms

Organize and manage platform support activities

Define and manage application enhancement process and release management for medical affairs platforms and and applications

Collaborate with Veeva Vault owner on platform-wide changes adoption and coordinate quarterly Vault releases.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

10+ years working with clinical/medical affairs systems and 5+ years' experience as a system manager/solution architect

Deep and proven expertise with Veeva Medical Cloud (CRM, MedComms)

Working knowledge of medical affairs processes and core data elements

Tangible track record in bringing innovative solutions from concept to implementation and operations

Proven experience with MDM in a medical and commercial environment

Experience in deploying social media applications in an enterprise environment

Ability to balance local country needs with global medical affairs strategy

Working experience of call center integration with medical and commercial platforms

You can bring content, data, and workflow together to enhance business processes and combine automation and integration to make easy things easy and hard things possible

You can identify opportunities to use data as an asset to drive operations efficiency and generate novel insights to extend our health care ecosystems reach

As a technologist, you know your craft and you are fluent in the digital world. You have first-hand knowledge of SaaS, cloud, and AI technology in medical affairs.

You have a practical understanding of data integrity and privacy requirements for systems capturing HCP data in a global environment

You work independently yet engage proactively with team members, colleagues, and stakeholders to get alignment and drive solutions forward.

You don't hesitate to dive in and work alongside your team. You can effectively manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment, and you can navigate ambiguity and lead a team effectively

You put the team before tasks by collaborating actively with all team members and supporting them.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Biotechnology, or equivalent required. Master's preferred.

Veeva Vault Admin certification preferred
