As the Corporate Controller, you will be part of a highperforming finance team and lead our US accounting, technicalaccounting and financial reporting teams and will be closelyinvolved in the oversight of our accounting operations teams in theEU, Japan and Latin America. In this role you will bring strongleadership skills and an expertise in U.S. GAAP to provideinsightful solutions in our exciting, fast-paced environment. Youwill partner closely with others across our organization to addvaluable insights that help drive business decisions in a highgrowth environment. This position is a key financial strategicpartner and plays a key role in supporting the growth of thebusiness.

The successful candidate will be results-oriented with excellentcommunication and technical accounting skills, able to leveragemutually beneficial cross-functional relationships and experiencedin overseeing consolidated results for a multinational, commercialpublic company. They will have strong inter-personal skills andwill have the ability to flex their management style to effectivelymanage all different types of employees. They will be highlyorganized and will be an effective multi-tasker with the ability toprioritize key initiatives, with strong attention to detail and adedication to quality in everything they do.

Responsibilities

Responsible for consolidated financial results by overseeingconsolidated monthly and quarterly financial close processes,including regional reporting close package submissions,consolidation activities, review of key areas of judgment and keygeneral ledger account reconciliations to ensure the accurate andtimely preparation of our consolidated financial statements

Responsible for key technical accounting judgments and policies,including oversight, implementation and execution of new accountingguidance

Ensure appropriate documentation of accounting treatment ofcomplex and highly judgmental areas, relevant literature andconclusions

Support and review accounting for all unique/one-timetransactions

Oversee preparation and review of SEC filings, includingquarterly and annual reporting and proxy statement

Collaborate with our internal teams to ensure relevantinformation is shared timely, including tax, treasury, FP&A,human resources, legal and others as needed.

Act as a key liaison to our external auditors, overseemanagement of our integrated audit and reviews, and manage externalconsultant relationships

Preparation of quarterly results presentation to DisclosureCommittee and Audit Committee

Oversee the Company’s internal controls compliance, working tostrengthen internal controls and ensure the control environment isoperating effectively in a dynamic and scaling setting

Identify and implement process improvements as part ofcontinuous improvement initiatives including the implementation ofa new external reporting tool

Undertake and manage special projects and other reporting needsas required

Supervise a high-performing and growing team of direct andindirect reports

Ensure team members remain motivated, challenged throughlearning opportunities and guided in their professional developmentwith an effective coaching relationship

Continue to evolve and develop an accounting infrastructure thatwill support significant growth and effectively scale withincreased complexity

Partner with our foreign accounting teams on key initiatives

Advise key business partners on accounting implications ofvarious transactions

Continuously improve processes across the accounting team toenable effectiveness and efficiency, including assessing andimplementing new technology solutions where needed

Participate in the broader biotech and accounting communities tobuild awareness to industry best practices and lessons learned

Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor or master’s degree in accounting required

Minimum 12+ years relevant experience, including 5+ years in anaccounting leadership capacity at a public company required

CPA license required

Big 4 public accounting firm experience strongly preferred

Global commercial biotech experience strongly preferred

Previous consolidation and financial reporting experiencerequired

Advanced ERP systems (SAP preferred), Excel and PowerPointskills

Hands on experience with SOX processes and procedures;demonstrated ability to assess and manage controls over aspects offinancial reporting and GL activities
