This Senior Director level role leads cross-functional planning
and execution for Takeda Oncology US products within the multiple
myeloma portfolio via the development and implementation of
cross-functional strategy and tactical plans. Strategies will
account for all life cycle considerations and changing/competitive
Inspires, sets direction, and mobilizes the cross-functional
team to define and achieve the strategic objectives of the US
multiple myeloma franchise within the existing and expected future
Leads and manages the brand marketers for the myeloma franchise
and serves as a functional leader in the execution of creative,
impactful marketing strategy and initiatives.
Is responsible for setting brand ambition across all functions
and working collaboratively to define and implement brand
strategies and associated tactics while managing a budget
supportive of the brand.
Serves as a key member of the Global Brand Team (GBT) where
lifecycle management strategies are defined and executed.
Works cross-functionally across the organization, including the
US OBU, R&D (including Clinical Operations), Medical Affairs,
Sales, Market Access, Patient Advocacy and Global Marketing, to
coordinate all elements related to product success for each product
within the myeloma portfolio, from pre-launch planning and
execution through product maturity, to ensure corporate objectives
are met at each stage of the life cycle.
Lead the Commercial Planning Process and the cross-functional
team charged with developing both the forecast and annual plans for
multiple myeloma brands based upon a deep understanding of key
market opportunities and challenges.
Lead cross-functional myeloma franchise team in key business
processes, including demand and financial forecasting, budget
management, and operational reviews with the US Oncology Leadership
Team (US OLT).
Ensure timely understanding of myeloma brand performance and
work collaboratively with the Integrated Franchise Team to modulate
tactical plans as necessary. Direct cost-effective allocation of
resources to deliver commercial objectives and guide team members
to report the impact of myeloma brand commercial programs.
Inspire, coach and develop the Marketing team to ensure
world-class capabilities are brought to and built within the
organization, including development, measurement, and achievement
of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for priority initiatives.
Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders, including
colleagues from Sales, Insights & Analytics, Medical Affairs,
R&D Clinical Development, Patient Advocacy & Engagement, and
other critical functions.
Be accountable for work with external stakeholders, including
thought leaders and advocacy development, in order to understand
current market conditions, Takeda product considerations and

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
BA/BS degree in business, marketing, science or related
Minimum of 12 years of pharmaceutical commercial experience

create high-performing teams, as well as experience leading a
cross-functional team through indirect influence
Demonstrated track record of formulating commercial strategies
and executing the resulting marketing campaigns
Ability to demonstrate business impact of key commercial tactics
to optimize the investment mix
Knowledge and understanding of the drug development, regulatory
review, and commercialization processes for specialty products
within the US environment
Ability to think creatively and problem-solve in a rapidly
changing, competitive environment
Demonstrated proficiency with utilizing qualitative and
quantitative methodologies to create business cases for investment
based upon a thorough understanding of current and expected future
