Job Scope and Purpose:

Our Cambridge-based long-time oncology client is seeking a experienced and hands on Program Management leader to take accountability for driving the development and execution of an integrated development program strategy for its lead oncology asset. This Vice President candidate will report directly to the CEO and will play a key strategic leadership role in the company, sitting as a member of the Senior Management team in defining and implementing the overall direction of the lead mAb program. The ideal candidate will oversee cross-functional coordination with each functional area of the organization to ensure all project deliverables achieve defined scope, budget, and timelines. This hire will also lead Alliance Management for an existing long-term partnership with a program co-developer. Primary Job Responsibilities:

* Provide direction and overall leadership to drive governance, prioritization, allocation of resources, and decision making

* Partner cross-functionally to lead program teams and develop strategic plans, integrating clinical, CMC, biomarker, regulatory, and commercial considerations

* Responsible for maintaining oversight of an integrated Product Development Plan

* Manage effective balance between scientific, clinical, CMC, regulatory, and financial goals/outcomes resulting in successful product development and corporate effectiveness

* Utilize program dashboards, metrics, and reporting mechanisms to ensure effective communication with Senior Leadership and the Board of Directors

* Proactively identify gaps/risks and work with internal teams to develop and implement mitigation plans

* Manage program resourcing, finances, and disclosures through effective relationship-building across multiple levels and functions within the company

* Contribute to short and long-term strategic planning though the development of program recommendations, escalation of risks, accommodation of balanced decision making, and overall program transparency

* Lead scenario planning and organizational readiness for initiatives and/or program progress

Priamry Job Requirements:

* Direct people leadership experience with demonstrated success of leading high-performing teams to functional objectives, and expert knowledge of drug development process with demonstrated record in R&D program management in pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, or biotechnology

* Demonstrated experience leading drug development projects and activities in a matrixed organization including leading the development of at least one development candidate with adherence to quality, excellence, and efficiency

* Late stage development experience and previous experience in oncology clinical development strongly preferred

* Complete understanding of CMC, pharmacology, toxicology, PK, clinical requirements to support major regulatory filings and the interdependencies between various subject areas (e.g., CMC, Pharm/Tox, PK, Clinical, Regulatory, Marketing, Finance) from a planning, risk management, time/event/cost point

* Ability to assimilate data, recognize key variables, analyze complex situations, and make quality judgments

* Track record of having managed successful program teams, as well as a desire and ability to perform both at a strategic leadership level as well as in a hands-on capacity

* Strategic mindset with the ability to prioritize amid ambiguity

* Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including specifically, the skills needed to manage difficult conversations and interactions as they arise
