Civetta is seeking to hire a Senior Scientist in Medicinal
Chemistry to contribute to our targeted drug discovery programs and
the development of our beta-propeller platform. We are building a
drug discovery platform to enable basic research and deliver
clinical candidates on multiple promising targets. We are seeking a
medicinal chemist with significant pharmaceutical industry
experience to join our multi-disciplinary team to aid and support
all our target identification, hit optimization and clinical
candidate discovery efforts.
- Medicinal chemistry support for specific drug discovery
programs including intellectual contributions to all stages of drug
discovery from compound design & evaluation, IP protection through
to development strategies for the molecule.
- Contribute to the development of our platform by enhancing our
medicinal chemistry capabilities and resources.
- Management of chemistry CROs to enable company project and
- Collaborate with chemistry, biochemistry, and biology
colleagues to contribute and evaluate progress towards
- Prepare reports and presentations for leadership and to
participate in internal/external meetings.
- PhD in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry with 7+ years of
experience in medicinal chemistry in a biotech or pharma setting
and a demonstrated track record of contributions to identification
of development candidates. BS/MS candidates with an exceptional
track record and > 10 years of experience will also be
- A solid understanding of synthetic methodology, SAR driven
compound optimization, use of modelling software and experience in
structure-based design are required.
- Knowledge of ADME/PK assays, enzymology, pharmacology, chemical
biology and fragment-based lead discovery will be an

also be helpful.
- Enthusiasm for building internal and external chemistry teams
