success. As a Raytheon Digital Technology Program Digital Services
(PDS) Principal Windows System Administrator, you will collaborate
and partner with many cross-sections of Digital, Engineering,
Cybersecurity, and Program Leadership partners, in support of the
Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit.
Principal Windows System Administrator based in Marlborough, MA ,
internally known as Principal Analyst, Information Workplace
Services collaborate and support exciting, critical programs with
classified information system capabilities. Success in this role
means you can develop, implement, and maintain secure,
cost-efficient environments across various classified programs.
Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define
computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve
complex IT infrastructure problems. What You Will Do: Serve as a
Windows System Administrator with deep expertise in Microsoft
Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2019/2022, Active Directory Domain
Services, Group Policy, Skype, Exchange, MECM, PowerShell, and
related Windows enterprise technologies within a largescale,
24x7x365 environment. Build, harden, and sustain secure and
reliable Windows servers, desktop, and virtual infrastructures
while ensuring adherence to DFARS, RMF, and the NIST Cybersecurity
Framework. Collaborate across Digital Technology, program teams,
and cross?functional engineering groups to deliver cost?effective,
best?practice hardware and software solutions and resolve complex
infrastructure challenges. Ensure reliability and high performance
through proactive monitoring, system optimization, and
infrastructure management, maintaining a strong understanding of
Windows performance requirements. Develop and maintain technical
and operational documentation to continually enhance Windows
services and capabilities. Lead performance tuning, patching,
lifecycle management, licensing oversight, and hardware/software
refresh activities to ensure ongoing system health and compliance.
Respond to and resolve service and support requests with clear
documentation and outstanding customer service. Troubleshoot
complex Windows platform issues, conduct root?cause analysis, and
support planned and unplanned maintenance activities outside
standard work hours as required to maintain system availability and
stability. Must obtain DoDD 8140/8570 baseline certification
(CompTIA Security or equivalent) within 6 months of start date.
Position requires 100% onsite work in a closed area, with up to 15%
travel to supported RTX locations in MA, RI, and NH 100% onsite
Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5
years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with a minimum
of 3 years of relevant experience. Must have active and
transferrable final U.S. government issued secret security
clearance is required prior to start date. US citizenship is
required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security
clearance. Experience in the design, implementation, and
administration of Microsoft Windows and Active Directory
environments Experience with performing backup, recovery, and
experience with Windows systems and networking. Experience with
securing system configuration and troubleshooting Windows system
Qualifications We Prefer : Expertise in implementing security and
compliance controls aligned with industry regulations, internal
policies, and high?security frameworks (NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS,
DoD/RMF). Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and
organizational capabilities, with advanced technical writing skills
for creating comprehensive documentation and knowledge bases.
Extensive experience administering Microsoft enterprise
technologies including ADDS, WSUS, MECM/SCCM, MDT, PXE, PKI,
Kerberos, IIS, SQL, Skype, and Exchange. Skilled in integrating
Windows and Linux environments using Centrify, Samba, SSSD, and
NIS. Optimizing application and user settings Proficient with
virtualization and VDI platforms such as VMware vCenter, vSphere,
Horizon, ESXi, and related virtual compute technologies.
Experienced with compliance, vulnerability assessment, auditing,
and monitoring tools including ACAS, Splunk, Nessus, SCAP, STIG,
Ivanti, Nagios, and SolarWinds. Strong scripting and automation
proficiency using PowerShell, Bash, Python, Perl, C, Terraform,
Ansible, Chef, GitLab, and GitLab Runner. Solid understanding of
networking fundamentals and experience supporting engineering teams
in software, simulation, and hardware development environments.

salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary
range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all
