Job Description:

The Evergrande Center for Immunologic Diseases and the Ann Romney Center for Neurological Disorders are looking to hire a person responsible for setting up and managing a database to store experimental data, mainly from next generation sequencing experiments. Initially, you will be required to design and set up the database, populate it with data generated during recent years. Later on, you will be required to oversee inclusion of new data as well as requests from lab members for access to existing datasets.Qualifications PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Set up, maintain and continue to develop relational database capable of rich multisite collaboration.Maintain current best programming practices while developing approaches to manage the data collection, processing and reporting tools needed for the conduct of several studies, including these aspects:Genomic data collection Imaging dataMetadataOther molecular biology data Supervise systems design and implementation of cloud-based solution for storageProvide data management and reporting capabilities to facilitate collaborative research projects.Track, manage and ensure that added data is of suitable integrity.Compose and perform data queries and prepare clear written summaries of analyses for staff.Ensure the integrity of collected and generated data through continual analysis and refinement of data management processes and procedures.Regularly appraise and respond to the needs and concerns of database system users and provide systems training.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline preferred, experience in genomics and immunology is desired but not required.SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Demonstrated expertise in data programming and project management required.
