Job Description:
Our mission at Sense is to reduce global carbon emissions by

and automation platform for home energy infrastructure. Our
consumer product, built on our unique machine learning technology,
gives people visibility into the energy usage of their homes and
provides insights to simplify saving energy and money. We are a
team of highly curious, collaborative engineers who enjoy working
together to solve a wide range of interesting technical challenges
across a deep stack that spans embedded, native mobile, web, and
the cloud. If the idea of having a significant positive impact on

you'll do As a Front End engineer at Sense, you'll use your
expertise to help us build the next generation of the Sense web app
experience, including: Collaborate with the product team to
translate UX and visual designs into beautiful and intuitive web
UIs Empower users to understand their homes through rich,
performant real-time data visualizations Work with the rest of the
engineering team on the specification of server and monitor APIs to
support new app functionality Participate in all phases of the app
lifecycle: new feature development for and enhancement of existing
apps, initial implementation of new apps, testing, deployment and
bug fixing Requirements Our three main web applications are built
with React for UI, Redux for state management, D3 for data
visualization, CSS Modules / Sass for styling, Babel for modern ES
features, Jest for testing, and Webpack for compilation. We are
also in the process of migrating to TypeScript. We---re looking for
someone with: Professional experience: 2 to 5 years building
production applications on a modern web stack At least 1 year
working with React applications Successful experience collaborating
with small to medium software teams Authorized to work in the US
Nice to have's: Experience with Typescript, Data Visualization (D3
or related), Component libraries Experience with AWS deployment
(CloudFront, S3, etc) Degree in computer science or related field
