About This Role: Forrester's Senior Analyst for Human Capital Management (HCM) is part of the Future of Work team and enhances our clients' workforce strategies, particularly in recruitment/retention, motivation and engagement, people analytics, governance, development, and performance. This role entails seeing beyond workplace conventions and passion to explore the new experiences evolving in the Future of Work from a human-centered perspective. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned analyst who conducts and publishes innovative research about implementing HCM technologies and delivers advice through one-on-one advisory sessions, consulting projects, client inquiries, and speeches. Success in this position requires confidence and the ability to present to and advise executive-level clients across industries to continue providing organizations best practices and technology solutions that drive superior employee outcomes. Job Description:

  • Develop a deep understanding of how CEOs, CIOs, CMOs, COOs, and CHROs can develop people strategies that let them deliver customer and company success.
  • Build out a reputation and understanding in the HCM technology market and the competitive technology landscape, ranging across HR suites to best-of-breed solutions; we are open to expertise in any HCM technology, assuming the candidate is eager to develop expertise in many more categories.
  • Help define the future of HCM and employee outcomes by developing forward-looking insights on how key trends will change the future models, best practices, and what executive and leaders must do to prepare.
  • Conduct primary research and synthesize data to produce in-depth research that convey new ideas framed for our executive clients, tech leaders, and vendors on a full range of employee experience (HR) and workforce topics such as how to create contemporary work environments and behavior, building innovative employee experiences, quantify and prioritize investments in employees and technology, and how to implement enterprise-wide human transformation initiatives.
  • Produce many expressions of your research in the form of short- and long-form written research, infographics, audio and video content, blogs, and podcasts.
  • Consult with clients to apply Forrester's research in the context of their business environment and help solve their problems through inquiry and advisory.
  • Establish an industry presence as an influential speaker and thinker. Participate in vendor briefings and field press inquiries as necessary.
  • Help our clients anticipate how employee experience will evolve near term and in the Future of Work and how they can impact their business and capitalize on these expected changes.
  • Provide telephone and email responses to inquiries placed by Forrester clients.
  • Present at Forrester-sponsored and industry-related events and deliver client webinars.
  • Provide business development support via telephone and face-to-face meetings with Forrester prospects as arranged by Forrester's account leadership teams. Job Requirements:
    • A BA or BS degree as minimum; an MBA or MS is preferred.
    • At least seven to eight years' experience as a practitioner or consultant in employee-focused environments, people strategy, HCM tech firms or a related field.
    • Experience in developing leading edge thinking around human capital issues including organization design, culture, structure, people analytics, talent, technology and employee experience in either a corporate or consulting environment.
    • Deep intellectual curiosity about technology's effect of technology on customers and how executives and tech leaders can leverage these insights to improve their people strategies
    • The ability to take complex, disparate ideas and distill them into simple, provocative concepts - and be willing to take a stand on vendors and outcomes.
    • Superior client-facing communication, listening, critical thinking and collaboration skills with researchers, analytics, subject matter experts and account leaders, as well as our own employ experience team.
    • Interest and point of view on the relationship between humans and machines now and in the context of the Future of Work.
    • Superior analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
    • A demonstrable experience with metrics and governance.
    • The ability to travel 30% to 50% of the time (in a normal business and travel circumstance).
