We're also actively working to combat the spread of COVID-19 through new programs like Healthy at Work.DescriptionOne critical component of Verily's strategy is our work to create a Health Platform focused on improving patient outcomes and lowering costs. A major pillar of this effort is Onduo, our Disease Management project which helps patients remotely manage chronic disease, where we are realizing the mission of using novel sensors and telemedicine to drive behavior change and outcomes. Onduo is currently caring for patients and we have strong evidence of clinical improvement - achieved through a combination of continuous glucose monitoring, a virtual clinic, health coaching and a behavior change app. We are currently working hard to expand our impact by treating people with more chronic conditions. We are looking for highly motivated people who are excited about improving healthcare, eager to work with cross functional peers and thrive in fast-paced ambiguity.Responsibilities* Build and maintain an iOS app that is core to Verily's business. Stay up to date with industry best practices and implement them in the app.* Own system design across the app, server and connected hardware. Make design decisions, communicate them with the rest team, and follow through with implementation.* Mentor junior team members through design reviews, code reviews and informal conversations.* Work closely with Android engineers to ensure both platforms are consistent with each other and find opportunities to improve mobile developer productivity.* Work closely with Product, UX and Clinical on defining PRDs, designing mocks and implementing clinical protocols. Help all functions understand engineering tradeoffs to ensure smooth implementation across the system.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:* Strong CS fundamentals w/ BS Computer Science degree OR equivalent combination of experience and education.* 2+ years industry experience developing iOS apps.* Have led a team to design, implement, and publish at least one production quality mobile application on the app store.* Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle and familiarity with automated build and test.* Strong written and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications* Experience with one or more iOS-related technologies (Cocoapods, Swift UI, RxSwift).* Experience working with Apple to remediate issues found during submissions via Resolution Center.* iOS Bluetooth Smart / Bluetooth Low Energy / BLE project experience.* Cloud integration experience including knowledge of common authentication protocols.* Experience working directly with end customers and stakeholders.* Demonstrated large scale business impact from delivered solutions.
