Job Description:
Background -Reporting to the VP of People and Culture, this
highly visible role is responsible for overseeing the smooth
functioning of all People and Culture areas within the
organization. - This is a new role, with ample opportunity to help

initiatives. - Offering significant opportunities for career
growth, this role will be on site during onboarding and hybrid, if
desired, thereafter. - -Objectives of this role -
Oversee and ensure facile benefit
enrollment and administration, manage compensation, including
running payroll, manage worker's comp. and leave filings, including
MAPFML, FMLA, and help with employee engagement and performance
initiativesSuggest new procedures and policies for improving
employee experience as well as the efficiency of HR department and
companyEnsure compliance with local, state, and national
regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and
procedures when necessaryAssist in developing and executing
personnel procedures and policies, and provide guidance and
interpretation for business operationsParticipate in development of
HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and ongoing
reports for company requirements -Responsibilities
Ensure a smooth new-hire onboarding
and orientation and coordinate with various departments to deliver
an exceptional first-day experienceOversee implementation of new
HRIS, take ownership for system, and run reports as needed for
compliance and/or auditsProvide a dedicated and effective HR
support to employees on issues such as PTO, leaves, performance,
organizational change, and all other employee-relations mattersBe
the primary go-to for payroll processing, including biweekly and
semimonthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay,
vacation/sick pay, expense reimbursements, hourly-employee
validations, and benefits changes, much of which will self-manage
after implementation of new HRIS/payroll systemProcesses and
monitor all worker's compensation claimsAssist in the
communication, interpretation, and updating of employee handbook;
updating employee directory and organizational charts, and
contribute to policy development -Required skills and
qualifications
Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills and EQ/cultural awarenessAptitude for
problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and
policiesAdvanced knowledge of HRIS and ability to learn new
technical systems, as neededExcellent presentation program skills,
using PowerPoint, et al. -Preferred skills and qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in
human resources, business, or related fieldProven success working
as part of a dynamic HR teamResourceful mindset and strong
attention to detailKnowledge of local, state, and national laws and
regulations related to employment and laborWorking proficiency in
