We offer the Following:Premium CompensationGreat Benefits PackageFun, Family-Like Team, and Atmosphere!Work in a Beautifully Remodeled OfficeProfessional Growth & StabilityInnovative Training ProgramsCovid 19 Vaccine: RequiredJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time off.Vision insuranceDuties and Responsibilities:May include all or part of the following but not limited to:Perform defined work using dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor.Meet scheduled meal and snack times.Provide assistance to the cook in the preparation and service of meals.Follow Federal, State, and local long term care regulations and Dietary Department policies and procedures.Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled.Set dining rooms for resident service.Serve meals.Stock pantry and cupboards with dishware and food items as per par levels.Attend in-service educational programs.Perform other duties as assigned by Dietary Supervisor.Review menu prior to preparation of food.Assist in planning regular and special diet menus in accordance with sanitary regulations.Assist in establishing food service production to assure that meals are prepared on time.Prepare meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.Prepare food in accordance with recipes and special diets.Prepare substitute foods.Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.Coordinate dietary services with other departments, as necessary.Assist in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, etc. as necessary.Ensure that food and supplies for the next meal are readily available.Make sure that all food items are properly stored, covered and dated in all refrigerators in the kitchen, remove outdated food items in accordance to the policies & procedures of the department.Ensure that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and safe manner by assuring that necessary equipment are maintained.Assist maintain food storage areas in a clean and properly always arranged manner.Report all hazardous conditions/equipment to the FSD or designee.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.Qualifications & Requirements: High School/ GEDExperience in dietary service is preferred. Ability to read and understand recipe directions, diet orders, tallies, and work assignments. Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must be knowledgeable of dietary practices and procedures. Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., the appearance of dietary service area, and must perform regular inspections of dietary service for sanitation, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.ACKNOWLEDGEMENTPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
