Doctor of Nursing Practice, Assistant Professor (Onsite)
Position Type: Full-time
Job Description:
- Teach courses for the Graduate Nursing Program
- Advise students
- Participate in accreditation processes
- Engage in professional scholarship or development
- Assist in the development of internship relationships and
student opportunities
- Participate in school and college-wide service
Responsibilities:
- Teach 24 credits per academic year
- Advise up to 25 students
- Attend department, school, and college meetings
- Participate in accreditation processes
- Engage in professional development, scholarship, research,
and/or publishing
- Assist in curriculum development
- Participate in department, school, and college service
- Maintain and post regular office hours
- Participate in course development and implementation
- Evaluate teaching/learning activities
- Participate in governance committees
Requirements:
- Doctorate in Nursing or related field
- RN licensure in Massachusetts or eligibility
- At least one graduate degree in nursing in the area of
specialization
- 3-5 years of experience in the related field of nursing
- Prior teaching experience in a nursing program desired
- Demonstrated ability to relate to a diverse student body
- Commitment to scholarship appropriate to the rank
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
