Description: The position is for a registered nurse specializing in
telemetry. The unit is a cardiac medical unit focusing on step-down
care. Responsibilities include management of cardiac patients and
various procedures. Patients may have conditions such as chest
pain, congestive heart failure, and chronic obstructive pulmonary
disease. Nurses will care for patients who may require support for
chest tubes, high-flow oxygen, BiPAP therapy, and other cardiac
interventions. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1. Staffing includes
skilled registered nurses supported by assistants and
administrative personnel. The unit is equipped with essential
medical devices such as IV pumps and monitoring systems.
Documentation is completed using an electronic health record
system. Nurses are expected to participate in bedside shift rounds
and patient handoffs. Advanced skills required include procedures
such as thoracentesis, pacemaker management, and CIWA assessments.
Professional attire is required while on duty. The unit aims to
