Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Educator - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/27/2026 - Duration: 12 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Nurse Educator Maternity Nurse Educator Profile will go through our IVS Shift: Days (M-F 8am - 4:30) 36 hrs per week. We operationalize this as 5 - 8 hour days one week and 4 the next week Job Purpose Need someone with solid NICU CCN exp The qualified candidate will function in the intertwined roles of change agent, mentor, facilitator of learning, leader, advocate for the clinical nurse educator specialty, champion of scientific inquiry, and partner for role transitions drawing on adult learning theories, experience, knowledge and evidence-based practice to transform clinical nursing practice. Qualifications/Experience Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current MA RN Licensure MSN required Certified ANCC in Nursing Professional Development strongly preferred Current AHA certification in BLS NRP and ACLS required NRP Fetal Monitoring instructor preferred. Experienced in meeting the core competency standards of nursing professional development practice as set forth by the Association for Nursing Professional Development required. Examples of the Nursing Professional Development standards include 1 Assessment: collecting data and information related to educational needs Identification of issues and trends analyzes issues 2. Outcome Identification develops expected measurable outcomes that reflect competence, learning and practice change 3. Planning prepares content reflective of current evidence using adult learning theory to meet a target audience that is in accordance with accrediting agency requirements 4.Facilitates a positive learning environment to meet the gaps between academia and clinical practice, consultation to influence plans, enhance the abilities of others and effect positive nursing practice changes 5. Evaluation using reliable and relevant methods and instruments to measure processes and outcomes, revises learning activities and disseminates the evaluation results of learning activities 6.Champions scientific inquiry, generates new knowledge and integrates evidence into clinical practice to enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice 7. Acts as a change agent through the development of programs to educate staff and implementing change strategies 8. Provide leadership in identification of nursing practice competency development, academic partnerships, and influencing decision making bodies to maintain and improve quality nursing care 9. Mentorship and advance the profession of nursing through fostering professional growth, lifelong learning and participate in committee work. 10. Continuing Care Nursery CCN nursing experience required. Advanced skills in maternal child nursing practice including fetal monitoring, cardiac arrhythmia identification, titration of IV medications, managing pain relief modalities specifically with epidurals, managing laboring patients requiring acute interventions, experienced in the operating room both in the roles of circulator and scrub nurs Talent Burst Job ID 25-47319.
