The Respiratory Care Department, operating under the medical
direction of the Pulmonary department, provides comprehensive
respiratory services across Cambridge Health Alliance's Cambridge,
Everett, and Somerville campuses. Our dedicated team of Respiratory
Therapists delivers a wide range of essential therapeutic services,
including administering medical gases, performing arterial blood
gas analysis, managing airways, and conducting pulmonary function
tests. We are committed to customer satisfaction, effective

ensuring the highest standard of respiratory care for both
inpatients and outpatients. Job Summary: As a key member of our
healthcare team, the Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for
a wide range of patient care duties. This includes the
administration of therapeutic gases and the performance of
diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and
Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) . Candidates should be proficient
in various respiratory therapies, including aerosolized treatments,
Incentive Spirometry, Chest Physical Therapy, and providing
Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP). A critical component of
this role is airway management , including intubation, for which
competency is required. You will also be responsible for
tracheostomy care , cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) , and the
setup of therapeutic equipment like PAP and Bi-Pap machines. Beyond
direct patient care, you will play a vital role in maintaining
accurate patient records, collaborating with nursing staff, and
adapting to a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a

Qualifications/Requirements: RRT RequiredGraduate of an accredited
Respiratory Therapy program Current Massachusetts Licenses as a
Respiratory Therapist AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider
certificationACLS certification preferred AARC/NBRC membership
